M-I HDD, Mining, and Waterwell, through M-I L.L.C., manufactures and provides drilling fluid products for a variety of drilling applications. We believe there is no one product that will optimize drilling efficiency and productivity. Utilizing a systems approach, we are able to combine individual product qualities and change fluid parameters to meet your drilling requirements.

Our MAX GEL additive, a 220-barrel, high-yield bentonite, is designed for use in most of our HDD, Mining and Waterwell drilling fluid systems. The MAXBORE HDD one-sack system provides the benefits of a high-yield bentonite coupled with the stabilization associated with polymer additives.

Our full line of POLY-PLUS synthetic polymers, PLATINUM PAC cellulose polymers, and DUO-VIS biopolymer provide the necessary fluid properties to handle any drilling environment.

New technology in drilling fluids systems allows us to help contractors tackle especially difficult ground conditions. The DRILPLEX-HDD system is one system used in the HDD industry for cobbles and loose sands.

M-I HDD, Mining and Waterwell, through its worldwide operations, utilizes national products whenever rigid specifications can be met. Raw national bentonite sources have been successfully enhanced in Argentina, Australia, Brazil and Europe to provide high-yield bentonite products. A global agreement with our suppliers ensures consistent quality control and product availability.
